Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Powder Springs, GA, Carzell's Kitchen LLC serves up soulful American comfort food that beckons you back time and again. Specializing in authentic soul food with a modern twist, this charming spot is a haven for those craving hearty, flavorful meals crafted with care.

The menu at Carzell's Kitchen reflects a delightful variety, but the pork chops truly steal the show. Whether fried to perfection or smothered in rich, savory gravy, these pork chops are tender and bursting with comforting southern flavor. The sides complement the main courses beautifully—creamy macaroni and cheese, sweet yams, and smoky black-eyed peas are customer favorites that add layers of nostalgia and warmth to each plate. For those seeking variety, the veggie plates offer fresh, seasonal sides served alongside fluffy rolls or golden cornbread muffins, the latter having a devoted following among patrons.

Casual yet sincere, Carzell's Kitchen is a takeout-only destination where food quality takes center stage. The unpretentious setting may not offer indoor seating, but with outdoor spots available, it’s a perfect quick-stop for locals and shoppers alike. Don’t let the simplicity fool you—the freshly grilled buns paired with juicy hot dogs come with customizable toppings, delivering familiar flavors elevated to a new level of satisfaction. For anyone yearning for a taste of soulful American home cooking, this kitchen feels like a warm embrace.

Repeated customer praise paints a vivid picture of the Carzell’s experience. Malcolm Tyson can’t resist those pork chops and swears by the gravy for an extra comforting bite, while Benita Duling appreciates the generous portions that satisfy even the heartiest appetites. Foodie Tonya Williams, with her Savannah roots, attests that Carzell’s nailed authentic soul food flavors, delighting in every bite down to the last cornbread muffin. Even casual visitors like WR Wolfe find the grilled hot dogs and fries a surprisingly delightful snack, noting the freshness and friendly service, all at wallet-friendly prices.

Admittedly, like any passionate kitchen, occasional missteps happen. One regular diner, WW- Peace Is My Joy, shared a rare experience where the seasoning missed the mark, but was met with understanding and professionalism from the team. This level of care and responsiveness only deepens confidence in Carzell’s commitment to quality and satisfaction.

If you're in Powder Springs and craving soul food that tastes like it was lovingly prepared in a family kitchen, Carzell's Kitchen is a must-visit. Call ahead to ensure your comfort food cravings are met fresh and ready, and prepare for a flavorful meal that warms both body and soul.

It's the pork chops that be calling me back. Tried them fried and smothered. Think I prefer them in that gravy. Went too late the last time, and they were out of that fantastic cornbread, my bad. My favorite sides are the Mac, yams, and blackeyed peas. Reasonable prices and convenient location. Take out only.

Really delicous food! The portions are generous and one plate is good for two people to share. The pork chops are so tender! I don't know how they do it, but dang, they treated sooo goood! The restaurant itself is small, so you have no place to really wait for your food, though there is seating out front outside but not the best option in Georgia summers or our chilly winters. Best to call oreder ahead and pick it up rather than order at the counter.

Y’all this food is GOOD! Can’t wait to come back for the pork chop next. Ps. I’m missing one cornbread muffin from this photo, it didn’t stand a chance lol. Delicious cookies too

My wife and I were shopping at Treasure Hunt next door. We wanted a snack and saw Carzells Kitchen. It’s not much to look at but the young lady who took our order was super nice. We ordered hot dogs and fries. Hot dogs were great. Both the hot dogs and the buns were grilled adding some extra flavor. The bun was so soft and very fresh. Fries were good. Two meals and a drink for less than $20 The lady taking orders noticed people waiting and brought seats out for us to sit. We will be back to try something new when we are back in the area

I usually eat here 2-3 times a month if not weekly so it was disheartening to go this past week and spend almost $40 on 2 plates only for every item on the plate, with the exception of the black eyed peas, being so salty that both plates were inedible. However, I realize that sometimes the way we feel can also affect our cooking so I gave them grace and called to voice my concerns, they apologized and made it right, thus the reason I gave a 4 star and not a 2 because when businesses make customers unhappy, it is their job to make it right and I'd like to think that as a regular customer, it's the least they could've done. I was satisfied. Despite this one mishap with the salt, out of over a year's worth of me patronizing their business, because of them making it right, I'd still go back patron the business. I recommend the collards, liver, fried porkchops (despite them being thin), fried chicken and the yams. The yams are .50 extra. I'm not a fan of their fried cabbage as it's too crunchy for my liking or their Mac n cheese but if you love collards (I think they are canned but they hook them up good enough that I don't mind), black eyed peas, and yams, I recommend. I've never eaten any other meats so I can't tell you about any of those but I can almost, with the exception of this last time, count on them to have great porkchops, chicken and liver. They have about 9 other sides to choose from with some being extra .50: mashed potatoes, potato salad (extra. 50), cole slaw, fried cabbage (a little too crunchy for my liking), fried okra & mac n cheese (both an extra .50), green beans, French fries and rice and gravy. FYI: it is a walk up establishment and everything is cooked to order, so there is no "table wait time" so know that before you go but I'd say the food is worth a 15 min wait.

Customer service was A-1 greeted with a smile we even talked about my hoodie and different bands. I had the pork chops, Mac and cheese, rice and gravy , I added a side of greens. The pork chops were good you can have them grilled, smothered, or fried and you can choose your seasoning lemon pepper, salt , pepper and one other I forgot but it’s listed . I put one between two pieces of white bread with mayo when I got home and was very satisfied. The rice and gravy was bland but I was able to spruce it up. Greens were canned wish they were real collard greens . Mac and cheese could have been a little better but it all tied together. I will be back to try other items .
